Marcia Ferguson is a Barrymore-nominated actress and director living and working in Philadelphia. She has acted in films and television ranging from experimental shorts to variety shows to situation comedies, and has acted on many area stages, including the Wilma Theatre, the Painted Bride Art Center, and Act II Playhouse. Recent appearances as an actor include originating the role of Dottie in The Paper Doll Ensemble’s The Pecking Order, the role of Ann, opposite Amanda Schoonover, for the Barrymore-recommended production of 12 Chairs, and the role of Mary in the upcoming feature film, Baby Brother. She co-created the original performance works Diving in Backwards and Ursula Invents Old Woman, and has completed workshop training in multiple styles and approaches, including intensive study with Meredith Monk, certification with the London International School of Performing Arts, Commedia dell’arte with Antonio Fava, and workshops in original creation and treteau with Pig Iron theatre company and Headlong Dance Studio.
